This place is awesome. Classic little gem in Tahoe for a traditional breakfast. Great coffee, but bottled orange juice, yet fantastic sausage gravy. Worth a trip. Small dining room inside, but Outdoor seating as well if you're into that. Service is quick and friendly although a little inexperienced, it's mostly high school kids, but they did their best and were very sweet.

Good old fashioned dinner. Big portions at a fair price. Get there early as this place fills up fast.

The staff here works super hard I don't know how they do it. Only two cooks in the back cooking all the good food nonstop. Two waitresses taking care of the whole restaurant running inside and outside. They never stop running. The Host don't just sit people they work hard they are getting drinks and cleaning tables. It's amazing to see such young people with such good work ethic. Lovely place keep up the good work such a cozy little place. Thanks you for the amazing service and good food!!!

Large portions. Food is really good. Old school feel. A bit cramped inside, not much seating. Looked like there was one large table. Otherwise, tables for 4 were along the wall, and tables for 2 between the wall and kitchen. The tables were old school tables and chairs. There is a counter to eat on, and picnic tables outside on grass as well. They had hash browns which brought me there, only to find their pancakes were light and fluffy!!! Will return!!

This little cabin of a diner was a most pleasant discovery. The first sign of a good diner is their hot water not tasting like over-night coffee. The second sign is their egg dishes come out hot. The third sign is a fresh salad, which in this case was one of the best Cobb salad I have ever had. Who would've thought, after NYC, LA and Boston, I'd discover a top Cobb salad at Lake Tahoe? But I did, and if they sell the poppy seed dressing, I'd have brought a dozen bottles. We returned 3 days later for 2 take-out sandwiches (fried egg and turkey cran). The place was packed on a Saturday morning, yet our order was ready (even wrapped in foil as requested) when we got there, less than 10 minutes after we called. Impressive efficiency and service!

This location is the cutest little breakfast spot! The food is great, the service is fast and parking is easy. I was looking for a good breakfast place for my trip to Lake Tahoe and this place was just wonderful. Everything my group ordered was delicious and their menu includes everything you would want, including lunch items!

Nice cozy spot for some awesome brunch! If you have a larger party, you'll need to split into separate tables. That's what we did and it wasn't an issue. We've been to the other Red Hut and this one is much smaller but same great menu. Red Hut Rosti (5): Crispy hot mess of goodness! We got all meats on ours and they griddled it to perfection. This will be a staple every time we visit now. Chicken Fried Steak (5): It's always about the gravy and the gravy is perfect! Of course the steak was juicy and flavorful as well. Strawberry Pancake (4): Light and fluffy. Top it with any fruit and its good. They only had strawberries available when we went so that's what we got. They have a specials menu. I always forget to check whenever I go anywhere but they have a good griddle so check it out if you're craving anything. Overall a great brunch spot. Can get crowded but they're pretty quick with the service. The other one on Lake Tahoe Blvd has more space and a larger store.
